Of course a controversial title.
I’m watching the Women’s Olympic Marathon (London 2012) and they’ve just gone through the 5km mark in 17:20. And Brendan Foster says they’re running at ‘not a quick pace’.
So the next time you’re commenting on others’ peformances remember that.
On that token I wish I was a ‘not great’ 5k runner who could knock out multiple 5kms in 17:20…as I imagine do you!
