There will be no chance for the Gijon SPRINT Duathlon medalists to defend their SPRINT titles in Nancy this year.
It is a great shame that it has finally been confirmed that there will be no Sprint Duathlon World Championship in 2012 this year.
I’ve just been forwarded an email from Raphael Vannier confirming this..
I think Raphael is at the LOC in Nancy.
So that seems to pretty much confirm what some have suspected for weeks. This comes as a big disappointment to many who, like me, assumed there would be a SPRINT event on the schedule every year following the success of the event at Gijon.
For those lucky enough to have won in Gijon I guess you stay champion for a year longer!
