** If you’ve heard people talking about ‘digging deep’ and learning how to do that in a running/racing sense you might have thought was a load of tosh. Well it wasn’t! If you’ve dug deep and held on then you will know what I mean. You have to learn to do this to keep those PBs rolling. Sometimes it might hurt so much that you come to dread it next time, maybe a parkrun each week might not be a great idea therefore if you are able to give it near-100% each week…don’t waste that motivation…save it and use wisely.
You could consider following or trying to race someone, although that can mean you deviate from YOUR race plan. If you have one.
