After the recently released Android Smart Notifications for Polar Loop 2, Polar is excited to extend their latest Android update to Polar V800 users. The Polar V800 now supports Android Smart Notifications, allowing users to receive alerts on incoming calls, messages and notifications from apps directly on their V800 watch screen. Android users can stay connected throughout the day by previewing text messages, social feed notifications, calendar reminders and emails on their wrist.

To access the new Android Smart Notifications, simply open the Polar Flow mobile app and sync the V800 with the mobile app by pressing and holding the “back” button. Once synced, simply go to the notification settings tab and choose to turn them “on.”  Users can then choose which applications they want shown on the V800 by including them in the notifications list. When users receive a notification, they will be notified by a subtle vibration on their wrist.

The Polar V800 is a high-performance, waterproof GPS multi-sport watch designed for professional and devoted athletes. It provides smart, accurate and live monitoring of various training sessions such as cycling, running and swimming and also tracks daily activity and sleep. The multi-sport watch provides customizable profiles for multiple sports and seamlessly changes between sports – recording full performance, including transition times. The Polar V800 offers a host of other unique features including heart rate while swimming and the most accurate altitude readings with a built-in barometric pressure sensor.

Other recent improvements to the V800 include open water swim metrics, allowing athletes to use the V800 to measure swim distance, time and pace, stroke rate, heart rate, and calories in open water. Users can view the recorded route following their swim in the Flow web service.

The V800 is available now in black or blue for $449.95/€400 (standalone) or $519.95/€450 with H7 Heart Rate Sensor on Polar.com.
