It looks like Shimano are next into the fray with their 2016 power meter.
Although the main unit is spider-based, as shown on the above image from cyclingweek (thanks also zitasport.com), it seems that the actual system will be dual-sided. Left-side power will be achieved by the addition of a crank based devices similar to the STAGES power meter.
