OK Fellow Sports Gadget Nerds it’s now or never.
The next 4-6 weeks are the window of opportunity for the likes of Polar, Garmin, et al to come up with the goods before we all go on holiday – aka ‘training somewhere else’.
July and August will probably have nothing exciting released. September and October and maybe even November might see some pre-Xmas goodies.
So……..
The next 6 Weeks – starting THIS week.
All these are guesses. I have no inside knowledge.
- Garmin –Â AÂ Swim 2!! Yes !! or maybe an Edge 820. 925XT-optical or 930XT would be nice….
- TomTom – Multisport-SPARK. Why not?
- Fitbit Lightning –Â I invented the name: but a super new better hardwared version of the Surge-cum-Blaze. Properly taking on the large markets for the M400 and RUNNER2. Bring it on!
- Polar M400+optical – Why not? A360 optical hardware logic to a best selling watch.
- Samsung/Apple/etc…yawn.
- Fenix 4…nah !

Just for the info:
Garmin is releasing 2 near identical watches (very) very soon.
Both do NOT have optical HR.
Both are similair to the Swim (1).
Both are round.
I can assume one of them is the swim 2 (they are both swim proof) but i can’t see huge differences between the two to justify 2 products.
I assume it’s something like the difference in the current Edge 25 and Edge 20.
The FCC filing codes look similar to the one on the rear of some of the released images of the vivomove. can’t quite see the full detail
