Suunto Spartan Ultra- First Hands On (Not Me) anyone speak Danish?

Here is the first video of a hands-on with the great looking Suunto Spartan Ultra. It’s Suunto’s response to the Garmin Fenix 3. If anyone can translate the Danish I’d appreciate it 🙂

Edit: Apparently up to 7 data fields per screen !! >25 hours in GPS mode (up to a few hundred in total). As you can see it looks similarly sized to an F3 and may accommodate a superior battery in its thickness. It also makes a wicked latte.

  1. just received a email from Suunto saying there will be ambit 3 updates next week but no further details. Their sale ends on the 5th of July a day before the uber expensive but no doubt good Spartan ultra details are released. Obviously there is back stock to clear and they don’t want to potentially take sales away from a new device. Im not in the market for a £600 device. My upper limit is £400. But you can get a peak 3 hr for £214 these days. But I can’t justify that based on sketchy details. Come on Suunto lets have better communications in future. 5k runner do you predict a Sparten Sport/Run joining the range at some point?

    1. A: yes

my understanding is that there are 4 variants. But I’m a little fuzzy on that ie I could be wrong and suunto have NOT told me. So the Spartan ultra may be the most expensive headline device. so maybe it will not be so bad. let’s see.
