This looks like rather colourful fun. throwing around lots of coloured cornstarch and running 5k with Victoria Pendleton in the grounds of the rather nice Penshurst Place in Kent.

Olympic Champion, Victoria Pendleton inspires local crowd of 4,000 to ‘make one difference’ at Clinique Run or Dye colourful 5km, held at Penshurst Place on Sunday

On Sunday 3^rd July over 4,000 runners took part in Clinique Run or Dye, the world’s most colourful 5km, running, walking and dancing, filling the stunning grounds of Penshurst Place and Gardens with colour. Bringing the spectacular burst of colour to the estate for the second time, the event saw runners and walkers of all ages and abilities enjoy the most colourful event Kent has ever seen.

Olympic gold medallist, Victoria Pendleton helped to host the event and took to the stage to share her message of empowerment of ‘never limiting yourself’ and ‘making one difference’ – hoping to inspire women to make a difference in the world, in their community or in their personal life.

“It was fantastic seeing so many people out making one difference – whether to their fitness or by raising money and with everybody really enjoying themselves. It was an honour to help host Clinique Run or Dye and to help share the message never to limit yourself, whilst also driving funds and awareness for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Kiss It Better Appeal, which is very close to my heart.”

Victoria is a Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Children’s Charity ambassador and a supporter of the charity’s Kiss it Better appeal, which helps to fund research into children’s cancers at the Hospital. Victoria’s twin brother was cared for by the Hospital when being treated for childhood cancer as a young boy. The appeal was set up 12 years a go by Carmel Allen (ex Beauty Editor for Vogue) whose daughter Josephine was treated at the hospital for cancer. Carmel and her daughter joined Victoria on the stage to say thank you for all the support and announce that the appeal has nearly hit an incredible fundraising total of £1 million.

The participants were showered with eco-friendly, plant-based cornstarch dye in a rainbow of colours as they ran through 5 dye and music stations around the course. Runners and their supporters celebrated their achievement afterwards with the world’s most colourful party, the famous Dye Festival with MC Josh made sure the celebrations kept going.
