The Suunto Spartan SPORT arrived today. It’s a bit thinner than the ULTRA with a consequential drop in battery life – but it’s more wetsuit friendly by the same token.

It looks good, IMO. I like the metal bezel.
Looking at the boxes, the ‘HR’ in red just means that it comes with a caching Suunto HRM…ideal for recording HR in those swim sessions.
Today’s Suunto announcement that slightly updated the feature release plans for the next few months has the SPORT MODE CUSTOMISATION coming in on 26 October with POI navigation the following month. Looks like the review will have to wait a while.
