| Garmin 935 | now available and ** IN STOCK ** at PMC (USA) and WIGGLE (UK) – as at 12June2017

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The first batch of Garmin Forerunner 935 arrive at Power Meter City (PMC) in the USA on 1st MAY (today!!).

50% were pre-sold so if you want one now; do the math!

Last week I alerted UK buyers to a batch of Garmin Fenix 5X on amazon and they were sold out within 5 hours, so if you REALLY want one then act soon or forever hold your (time) piece.

If you order through PMC you support this blog in a small way. Thank you.

It looks like Wiggle’s exclusivity on the 935 has expired. So you can shop around but availability is still restricted eg not available on Amazon.

There is 10% off most stuff at Power Meter City with the coupon / discount / promo code: the5krunner10. HOWEVER It will not work for the Forerunner 935 as cashback only as a 10% store credit. Sorry. That will be at list-price everywhere for some time, plus Garmin sternly frown upon discounting in any case while products are under MAP.

I will update this post with links to Amazon and with links in the UK as they surface. It looks like Garmin may have been bumped into an early release as too much information was leaking out before the official date. Maybe.

UK Buyers note: Forerunner 935 are NOT yet available for UK pre-orders through Amazon. Excuse the image for now, I will change that and the links once it gets listed 🙁

For other countries please click on the flags (top right) there will be links there to the Forerunner 935 soon.

Does any one yet know if the quick release kit blocks the optical heart rate sensor?

It seems that the main difference between the Forerunner 935 and Fenix 5 is the quick release. But if the quick release blocks the optical heart rate, then I don’t think it’s worth it.

Yeah, I’ve seen that picture. I just can’t visualize how it all fits together. In past quick releases there was one component that fit into the band and another component that mounted on the back of the watch. It seems like the one with a hole might mount on the watch. But if the other components go on the band that seems like it would block the sensor. Or maybe it takes advantage of the new band style and the hole piece goes directly on the band…?

Amazon, Wiggle, Handtec all out of stock of the fr630 surely can’t be much longer for its replacement? Although any thoughts of jumping ship depends on if Polar adds support for styrd first.
