Manor Field parkrun, Whittlesey
The course starts at the car park side of the playing field and runners must complete ¾ of a lap of the field before heading into Manor Park and completing three full laps, then heading back into the playing field and finishing the final ¼ lap missed at the start, plus a little bit more, finishing by the pavilion. The start and finish are not exactly in the same place, but they are only 100m or so apart. The entire course is on grass and is really flat. There is a very pretty section along the canal and a few interesting turns around some trees, the leisure centre and the outdoor skate park. The course was well marshalled and I felt it would be very difficult to take a wrong turn.
Runner numbers at Manor Field parkrun are around 100 at the moment, but it’s still quite early days and this may grow. Being a 3-lapper, it has potential to get congested, but the smaller runner numbers mean that it’s not an issue just yet.
