The Humon HEX Muscle Oxygen Sensor has just added AUDIO support via the app.
Humon are turning out a steady stream of consumer-friendly updates. What with last month’s ability to import FIT files into their online platform updates such as this must transform the product from good to ‘cool’. Or Something similar.
Anyway, I like the Hex and do use it from time-to-time usually to quanify warmups but other things too.
I tend to use the Garmin CIQ data fields rather than the Hex’s app, so this new feature does not impact mee too much.
The audio feedback can get a little annoying. Luckily it can be toggled between OFF, 1 minute, 5 minute and 10 minute interval updates. There will be one setting there that does the job for most people. As well as information on your distance covered, workout time and pace you get specific information on your muscle oxygen status with a sentence similar to this “Your current zone is RED and your muscle oxygen percentage is 47% ” and I easily got this to play back through my BLE headphones (Jabra Elite Active 65t…cool as well).
