Why was there never a round watch to begin with? Greater technical challenges and reduction/awkward sizing for componentry space?
yeah i think a rectangular watch is technically easier to work with but it’s clear that throughout history most watches have been circular – presumably people want that or it was influenced by the movement of an analog hand. that said most smartwatches (ie the best-selling Apple Watch) have been rectangular.
