new Strava Progress Users – a subscriber-only feature
Earlier this year, Strava launched a 3D terrain view, with your personal heatmap superimposed. Today sees the addition of the globalheatmap to the 3D terrain view ie you can see a consolidation of everyone’s routes in 3D and you can toggle between the global heatmap view and your personal heatmap in high definition.
As a subscriber, you will be able to plan routes on strava and this 3D heatmap view is another tool in the route-planning kitbag as a sense check for what you are about to embark upon or, perhaps, as a route discovery tool.
Ultimately this broad featureset will probably expand to cover a 3D replay of your adventures too.
Something different? Why not check out my Apple Watch 7 review…it’s a much more awesome watch than you think and only a battery and two buttons away from destroying Garmin’s market share. Just sayin’.
