Fitbit Sense 2, Fitbit Versa 4 + More for september from Garmin, Wahoo, Polar, Suunto

Fitbit Sense 2, Fitbit Versa 4

FCC filings for Google’s upcoming Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4 were discovered recently. Nothing too surprising seems to be here with the physical package.

Same old awful, cheap strap and pleasant rounded square design. The rear sensor and LED array also look unchanged. The Versa 4 looks the same.

It’s highly likely these watches will launch in September along with the Google Pixel Watch which has also been effectively confirmed by leaks. Combine that with a new Apple Watch Pro/Explorer and a Samsung Watch5. and we will have some interesting stories. If that’s not enough for you we should also get a Garmin Vivoactive 5 and/or Venu Sq2.

I am hoping for a new Wahoo Watch or two (no direct intel) plus something from Polar (not very exciting from what I’ve seen) and am hoping for a new Suunto (no confirmed intel too)

My favourite kit and nutrition

  • Maurten — the race nutrition trusted by elite athletes. Gels and drink mix engineered to be easy on the stomach.
  • Garmin 90-degree charging adapter — the small adapter that keeps your charging cable tidy at the stem. Essential for race day.
  • Garmin charging puck — the fastest and most reliable way to top up your Garmin before a session.
  • Ravemen FR300 — front light that mounts directly under your Garmin or Wahoo head unit. Keeps your bars clean and your beam pointed where it matters.
  • Garmin Varia RTL515 — radar rear light that alerts you to vehicles approaching from behind. Pairs with your Edge or Garmin watch.
  • Stryd — the footpod that brings running power to your Garmin. The single most useful running upgrade I have made.
  • Favero Assioma Pro RS2 — the power meter pedals most serious cyclists end up choosing. Accurate, easy to move between bikes.

  1. Can you please elaborate on what you’ve seen about Polar? Kinda uncool to leave us at this situation like “hey guys i know something but i’m not gonna tell”

    1. As you know I release info as soon as I can.
I wouldn’t get excited in this instance.
you imply that I’m cool for the rest of the time. thank you 😉

      1. Does IT look like IT will be available for released models? Blink for yes 😉

  2. I cannot understand the point of another vivoactive having the possibility of buying a Venu 2 or an Instinct 2.
Garmin could have released a better Vivosmart or a Vivosport 2 with more advanced metrics(Health and HRV related) and GPS.

  3. It’s nice that you’ve switched from a “I can’t see a new wahoo watch in the near fuure” of soe weeks ago to “Wahoo will release one or two watches before the end of the year”.
As someone who really want to like the Rival (that I use on a daily basis along with a Suunto 9p), I hope they’ll get better at FW updates (and finally fixe the issue I have with Stryd that…just don’t work!)
The last FW update brought an endless list of Headwinds devices to connect with the <atch (or from the App….) And none of them is useful. Still works well with the BOlt v2…
And still bad GPS giving erroneous paces (that could be fixed by Stryd…see #1: Stryd don’t work with my wahoo watch – that’s been switched and still the same….)

Curious to see what they’ll come with. Time to sell my Rival :p
