Apple Watch Ultra 2 TEARDOWN confirms modified battery

More: Apple Watch Ultra 2 Review

iFixIt’s teardown video of the Apple Watch ULTRA 2 is linked below and has these three takeaways regarding any new components that might have been secretly added

  1. the battery is different to the original Ultra and is now rated at 564mAh, which is a 4% increase as reported here a few days ago.
  2. The Double tap gesture appears to have no new associated hardware outside of the main chip. So it’s a software upgrade and that’s upgrading from software that could already do the same thing. Hmmm.
  3. there’s obviously the new S9 chip

that’s it

I still think the 4% extra battery life is the most exciting thing about this product (I have one on my wrist at the moment).

is Apple Watch Ultra 2 Accurate? Yes but not always. [Detailed Report, Comparisons]

    1. yes
i have some excellent overall results (I think the best on my standard test). tentatively i would say that the overall excellenace is brought down with tall building and tree cover…a well-worn story!!

  1. I should have gone crazy to buy this watch. I’m unable to see any other reason except purchasing it for smart watch purpose if you have an iphone. Even a Venu 2 is a lot better for sports and general health tracking with 7 days of solid battery life.

Man, the design of Apple Watch series make me sick, really bad.

      1. Because you need a watch to make it through a day and night ????.

I’m with the other guy, no Apple Watch for me until it matches Garmin’s metrics and current battery life.
