Garmin Fenix 7 – undocumented (minor) features now live.

Some brand new Garmin features are now working on the Fenix 7 Solar – presumably also F7 and F7 Pro, and possibly the Epix 2/Pro. The features are quite minor so don’t get excited and have been ported across from Venu 3.

These features are additional to others that we have seen linked in recent weeks and more that are in the various beta versions.

So without further ado, here we go

New Garmin Fenix 7 Features

In the “Health & Wellness” section you will see the pre-existing “Move Alert” but now there are at least 3 other toggles that I’d not noticed before and all are disabled by default

  • Daily Summary
  • Stress Alerts
  • Rest Alerts

If enabled, you should see the Daily Summary a couple of hours before bedtime but the other two obviously won’t show up unless you trigger the alert condition.

That’s it. Excitement over.

  1. They are also showing up on the 265 beta 17.18

    I’ve enabled them:

    Daily Summary -> on
    Stress Alerts -> after event
    Rest Alerts -> on
    Move Alert -> on

    Will report back tomorrow as to what I receive later and through out the day.

  2. I wished they first fixed the move alert, before adding new things.

    Move alert is arguably the most important alert your watch gives you and helps to prevent sitting all day.

    But at the end of the day, can you see if how you have done that day? (spoiler alert: no you can’t)

    But I guess garmin still is more interested in a longer feature list than in great working features.

    And so far for my garmin frustrations.
