How to operate COROS PACE?
#1
I'm new to GPS tech and cannot find basic information to use my watch. I called COROS, searched online and employed my grandson to no avail. All sources assume that one knows the basics. The COROS tech said "once you get the download you just start messing around - you'll see. It's easy." I don't need all the features and training aids I just want to view current cadence, current minutes-per-mile and accumulated minutes-per-mile. I'll most likely want to expand my use in the future, but for now I'd like to set the watch up to monitor those three displays in a singular view. My TIMEX's give step by step instructions for the buttons - Isn't there a source for PACE basics? I've had it since Christmas and am considering sending it back. Any suggestions?

You need to download the COROS app and add your PACE in the COROS app. Then you will be able to configure the data screen on the COROS app by clicking on the Custom Interface option on the Device page. Click on the data page and select the metrics you would like to view on the watch.

I bought the COROS PACE after significant online research. I want to see current and accumulated miles- per-minute and current cadence … and have enough battery for a hundred miler which takes me the full 30-31 hours. EUREKA! COROS PACE shows up as the only choice. Yea and great …. I got one for Christmas and was really excited to put it to the test. I still can’t operate it. The instructions are non-existent and Dave, the COROS Tech, has zero interest or capability to help. I couldn’t be more disappointed. I paid $300+ and would have paid what-ever-it-takes to get what COROS promised. I'm taking it back for a refund.

Don't do that. What do you want help doing? Are you on Strava and if so have you joined the coros running group? Lots of willing and able helpers there.

I can help you as well I just don't check this forum that frequently

Just minutes before taking the watch to the post office I tried one more time to call Coros and got enough help to set up one run option so I kept it. I tried for several more hours to use it but need assistance. I took it to the track for three hours today and ready to throw it away. I don't know about Strava - is it a forum?

Strava is a fitness tracking/social platform, can read more about it here https://www.strava.com/features

COROS posted an official manual for the Apex, responding that actions are very similar for the PACE. Maybe worth giving it a read?
