Worse than that, the new feature currently works only in the USA, and there are no official plans to work in other countries. It is NOT sufficient to tell Garmin you are in the USA; the tech must also detect your location. So this is how you trick it. Get the latest firmware on your watch and check your smartphone app is the newest version if you use a smartphone. Get a location-faking app for your phone. Android - install “Fake GPS Location” and set the location to New York. Don't forget to enable the app in the dev options of Android under “Select Mock Location App”. iOS - this is trickier. Either borrow a friend's Android smartphone and complete the steps here or make your internet connection via a Mac whose location has been spoofed to USA (VPN). This iOS app MIGHT work iMyFone AnyTo (not verified by me) Troubleshoot Extras: Install a VPN app like the free “Atlas App” and set it to New York. (I use the free Tunnelbear VPN... consistently free monthly no allowance and no need to sign up for anything) Troubleshoot Extras: Disable WiFi Troubleshoot Extras: Enable LTE Troubleshoot Extras: Enable GPS Garmin Connect app> More (bottom right)> Settings> Profile & Privacy> Manage Garmin Account> Sign in (Account Management Center)> Account Details> Edit> Change location to USA> Troubleshoot Extras: Also, set the location of your Garmin account via the website Use the ECG app on the watch and do a 30-second reading (The ECG 'app' is in the list of apps on the watch and detailed instructions are given on the watch) Troubleshoot: Garmin Connect App> Device Settings> Finish Setup> Set Up ECG App Sync your watch with Garmin Connect and ensure the ECG reading results are also on Garmin Connect.
