Garmin - new Forerunner on 22 July (Tuesday)? A: No (that's what I got for considering 'leaks' from other sites rather than my regular sources #Sigh, sorry) Garmin China has teased a marketing event on Tuesday, 22 July at noon, Chinese time. Possibilities This could be an existing, known model, as yet unreleased in China - I checked and do not think this is the case This could be a special region-specific variant. There was a Forerunner 235L version of the 235 made in 2018, just for the Chinese market, for some reason unknown to me It's a new model! It's announcing a sale in a very unusual way (see comments) https://the5krunner.com/2025/07/17/garmin-rally-x10-leaked-with-new-feature-thoughts/ What Is It? This looks like a 5-button forerunner, and the top right button appears elongated rather than circular, as found on the cheaper forerunners There is a silhouette of a man running to the left, suggesting a Forerunner The watch strap width looks narrow, suggesting a smaller watch The bezel width looks relatively large, suggesting a smaller display for the size and further suggesting a cheaper model The image suggests the product number is four digits starting with a '1'. This is unusual as Garmin's numbering schema is usually 3 digits. Sometimes there are suffixes like PRO or LTE, or S (small) My guess would be a 170s - so the smallest of the incoming generation of forerunners. https://the5krunner.com/2025/07/19/garmin-venu-4-first-leak/ Sources Garmin on Weibo Garmin China running watches (official site)
