Rotor Introduces Updated INspider ROAD Power Meter
Rotor Bike has released the updated INspider ROAD power meter, featuring a reduced weight and expanded compatibility.
Design and Compatibility
The revised INspider ROAD builds on the previous model, incorporating weight reductions while increasing battery life and compatibility with various frame types. It weighs 128g and has a 12mm thickness, integrating with chainrings and cranks to maintain aerodynamic efficiency.
It supports 24mm and 30mm spindles, allowing installation on road, gravel, and time trial frames. The calibration process has been simplified, and the device includes automatic power-on and a battery-saving function.
Key Features
- Power Measurement: Records power output 120 times per second with ±1.5% accuracy. Unlike Rotor’s 2INpower SL, which directly measures individual leg output, the INspider ROAD estimates left-right balance.
- Battery Life: A rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 350 hours of operation, an increase over the previous model.
- Connectivity: Supports ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart for data transmission and device pairing.
- Frame and Chainring Compatibility: Compatible with road, triathlon, cyclocross, and gravel bikes. Supports BCD 110mm x 4 chainrings from Rotor and third-party manufacturers.
- Performance Data: Works with Garmin Cycling Dynamics and Rotor’s Power app to provide detailed power and pedalling efficiency metrics.
