WHOOP 3.0 not charging?

The WHOOP Facebook page has many frustrated users tearing their hair out and saying,

My battery pack is fully charged but won’t charge my strap. A lot of people are having this problem, what can I do?

At which point the WHOOP rep asks them to DM for offline help.

I had this same problem too and thought it was just me but I finally got it to work myself…quite easily, in the end.

WHOOP 4.0 Upgrade

Everyone currently using WHOOP 3.0 gets an optional free upgrade to the newly announced WHOOP 4.0. Subscribers keep on subscribing and the original Founder WHOOPers get a free subscription until September 2023ish.

Basically, just about everyone is going to upgrade and, probably, just about everyone did within a few days of the announcement.

Problems

Some people, me included, experienced unusual LED light patterns that indicated the WHOOP wasn’t charging and that was confirmed on the app. My app said that WHOOP’s battery was critically low and yet the battery pack was fully charged.

I persevered as I saw that there was a firmware upgrade that I wanted but, again, that wouldn’t start because the battery was supposedly too low on charge.
