I am genuinely looking forward to the North London Half Marathon. It’s nice to do races that you don’t take too seriously. Indeed that has been reflected in my total lack of appropriate training. Oh well.
At least it’ll be a course PB! (Does it couldn’t as a PB when you do it for the first time?)
I’m looking forward for a variety of reasons
- Personal: my running is finally getting back on the straight and injury-free narrow. It seems that longer stuff causes less injuries for me (surprise).
- Route: It’s great that the route takes in two amazing stadia (Wembley and the Allianz Park). The Wembley Park tube Station start and Wembley stadium finish sound great.
- Travel: I’ll be in London anyway! so not far to travel.
Let’s hope for good weather. It’s raining right now. A lot.
What I’m not looking forward to is the fact that it’s on Sunday 20th March and I’ve not really ran much further than 10k this year. oh dear. That’s 17 days time by my maths.
