Garmin Strength Coach – Expansion of features in Connect
via: @jw thank you
Some changes are coming soon to Strength coaching features in Garmin Connect.
The Garmin Strength Coach takes you through one of several new plans each of which has a series of phases designed to systematically build strength: Accumulation, Intensification, Exploring Benchmarks, Realization and Deloading.
The Coach is customised based on several personalised factors including your strength goals, your access to equipment, and whether you already have benchmark performances.
The principles used seem good (I’m not an expert) including pull days and push days, utilization of the 1rep max concept, and primary/accessory lifts. There are squat days, deadlift days and bench press days…all good stuff.
When
I expect to see this released to coincide with the launch of Fenix 8 (hopefully) next week.
