Garmin 920XT : That pesky GPS control

Garmin 920XT vs Garmin 910XT - Triathlon ShowdownOne of the things I love about the 920XT are the INDOOR Activity Profiles. If you choose the right one(s) then they will automatically turn off GPS and hence automatically look for pace from another appropriate source (pod).

If you ever have the need to MANUALLY turn GPS OFF or ON then you do this:

Select : >Activity Settings> GPS > On/Off

That’s equally as annoying as it was with the 910XT. However, as I say, profiles are the way to go to avoid the annoyance.

With 20 years of testing Garmin wearables and competing in triathlons at an international age-group level, I provide expert insights into fitness tech, helping athletes and casual users make informed choices.
