PowerDot STRIG Pro just announced

PowerDot has just launched what seems to be a novel, electronic IASTM product (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization).

My understanding is that traditional, non-electronic IASTM is generally best used for ‘quick’ results. ie if you need something soft-tissue related fixed quickly, IASTM might produce better results over a 24-hour time frame. But that’s a good thing right? Sometimes. Plus adding in the electronic message modes might significantly change the outcomes…I’ve yet to get my hands on one yet in any case.

It has

  • MicroCurrent stimulation – claimed to speed up recovery
  • Micro Vibration – claimed to ‘flush out the inflammation

I’m fairly excited by this as the PowerDot is probably one of my most-used products of 2020-21, in fact, it would have got my ‘product of the year’ award a) if I had one and b) If I hadn’t already sort of promised the imaginary award to NPE RUNN earlier in 2020!

Powerdot also did some cool things with their main product by providing hookups to your workout data in Strava and Garmin Connect, using your exercise outcomes to recommend the type of PowerDot recovery program.
