Adjust Power in a FIT File

Correct power from a meter that read high or low, or move Stryd and other Connect IQ power into the normal power field so Strava, TrainingPeaks and other apps can see it.

Scale power up or down

Enter a percentage and every power reading changes by that amount. Average, maximum and normalised power are recalculated. Use it when a meter was mis-calibrated, or to compare two meters fairly.

Stryd and app power

Older Garmin watches store Stryd power as Connect IQ data, which many apps ignore. One click copies it into the standard power field and adds lap and activity averages. The results match the desktop Fit File Repair Tool reading for reading.

Quick answers

Why does Strava not show my Stryd power?
Some watches record Stryd power as a Connect IQ field instead of the normal power field. Moving it into the normal field fixes that.

Does scaling power change my FTP?
No. The file changes, not your settings. Training load in your app may need refreshing after you upload the corrected file.
