HYROX has sent cease and desist letters to at least eight websites and apps that display its race results, giving each seven days to stop scraping its results database and delete everything built from it. RoxOpt and HyCoach have confirmed they received the letters. If the rest comply, the split analysis and rankings many athletes use instead of the official results site will shrink or disappear.

What athletes lose
The official site at results.hyrox.com lists finish and split times. Third-party tools turn those times into analysis, comparing each station split with your age group, ranking athletes across seasons and venues, and predicting your next finish time.
That analysis is the first thing we’ll lose.
RoxOpt told Hybrid Fitness Media (HFM) that it will drop some analytics features but keep its training product, while HyCoach’s founder said a one-person company cannot afford to fight HYROX and that the letter “wiped out 10 months of hard work with a single email“. Because the letters also demand deletion of stored copies, race histories on these sites may vanish rather than freeze, so athletes who rely on one should save their own history now.
Which platforms are affected
HYROX has not named the other recipients, and none of the sites I checked showed a notice on 15 October. Each displays or analyses HYROX results:
- HYRESULT, run by the German company HYRESULT GmbH, shows athlete profiles, rankings, race comparisons and start lists.
- HyroxVault tracks athletes live and says it pulls splits from the official results portal every 30 seconds.
- RoxTimes offers searchable results and splits, and says it holds 1,247,306 results from 208 races.
- Hybrid Racing Platform shows split percentiles and rankings, and claims between 1.4 million and 1.7 million results in different places on its site.
- HYROX Result API, an independent service despite its name, sells results, rankings and splits to other developers by subscription.
- Hyranking and HYBRD Race Analysis show station breakdowns, rankings and percentiles.
Why the official results site isn’t enough
Athletes on r/hyrox see the letters as HYROX removing tools without offering a replacement. The top reply asks whether HYROX will “release their own decent results page or just leave us with nothing”, and another points out that nobody would need to scrape the data if HYROX offered a proper API.
HyCoach’s founder asked HFM the same question more directly: is HYROX clearing the ground for a results product of its own? The founder says HYROX made no contact before the letter arrived and has not replied to an offer to work together.
Could platforms license the data instead?
Not for now. HYROX’s letter says it is “currently not in a position to grant a commercial licence or authorise third-party use” of the data, which leaves room for a licensing scheme later. A licence would add a cost that athletes would likely pay through higher subscriptions or paywalled features, and one-person tools such as HyCoach may not be able to afford one at all. The data already has a price, since the HYROX Result API charges developers a subscription.
HYROX already sells technology rights through its exclusive wearables deal with Amazfit. Its founders regained majority control in September, with L Catterton and WndrCo joining as minority investors, and results data would give the new owners another revenue line.
The legal grounds
The letters come from the legal department of HYROX World GmbH in Hamburg and rely on three claims:
- Database rights under Section 87b of the German Copyright Act, which protects the investment behind a database from extraction and reuse.
- GDPR, because the results contain athletes’ personal data and the platforms have no legal basis or notice to process it.
- Trademark, because using the HYROX name could suggest that HYROX endorses the platforms.
Each platform must stop scraping, delete all HYROX data including derived datasets and AI embeddings, and stop using the trademark commercially. Platforms that do not confirm compliance in writing within seven days will be referred to HYROX’s external lawyers, with claims for damages and costs. HYROX told HFM that none of the platforms “have the athlete consents to use their data”.
Thoughts
This is the second clampdown on athlete data in a week, after Garmin’s new developer terms closed Intervals Pro, and follows Garmin‘s 2025 attribution dispute with Strava. The difference is ownership: Garmin data belongs to the athletes who recorded it, whereas HYROX can reasonably claim its results database as its own.
Quick answers
Which HYROX results sites received cease and desist letters?
RoxOpt and HyCoach have confirmed receiving letters. HYROX says it sent letters to at least eight platforms but has not named the others.
Is HYRESULT shutting down?
HYRESULT has made no announcement, and its site was working normally on 15 October 2026. It has not said whether it received a letter.
Can I still see my HYROX splits?
Yes. The official results site at results.hyrox.com still shows finish and split times for every athlete. It doesn’t offer the rankings, comparisons, and predictions that third-party tools add.
Why is HYROX doing this?
HYROX says the platforms do not have athletes’ consent to use their data and that it wants to protect that data. Its letters also claim the results database as HYROX’s intellectual property and object to the platforms using the HYROX name.
Will HYROX launch its own results analysis tool?
HYROX has not said. Its letter says it cannot currently license the data to third parties, which leaves room for an official product or partner scheme later.
Does this affect HYROX workouts recorded on my watch?
No. The letters cover the official race results database. Workouts you record on your watch stay in your account with the watch maker.
