Expert opinion

The Garmin Edge Explore 2 targets recreational, touring, and adventure cyclists who want simple, reliable navigation over advanced performance analytics. Its touchscreen, turn-by-turn navigation, and compatibility with Varia radar and eBikes suit long rides on unfamiliar routes.

It lacks the structured workouts, detailed performance metrics, and multi-band GPS of Garmin’s higher-end Edge models, trading those for longer battery life and a lower price.
