Expert opinion
The Band 11 Pro adds onboard GPS to the Band 11’s hardware, for athletes who want to leave their phone at home on a run; the hardware step up comes with a real jump in price too.
Running form analysis, measuring ground-contact time and left-right balance, a dedicated track-running mode and route recording all depend on its onboard GNSS, alongside the same workout, sleep, heart-rate variability, stress and SpO2 tracking as the rest of the Band range. The 1.62 inch AMOLED display matches the Band 11’s resolution and pixel density but reaches a brighter 2,000 nits peak, in an aluminium-alloy-only case weighing around 18g. Bluetooth is version 6.0. Huawei quotes up to 14 days of battery life under light use, 8 days typical and 3 days with the always-on display, though frequent GPS workouts will reduce that. Tech Advisor’s April 2026 review praised the display, design, features and battery life, but flagged GPS accuracy as a weak point, so route precision shouldn’t be assumed to match a dedicated running watch.

Record runs and rides without your phone, with up to two weeks between charges, in a slim alloy band.
What’s new versus the Band 11
The Band 11 Pro introduced a Pro tier to the Band series for the first time. Differences below are against the standard Band 11, launched alongside it, rather than an earlier generation.
Hardware
- Onboard GNSS positioning added; the standard Band 11 has no GPS chip and relies on a paired phone for location
- Peak brightness rises to 2,000 nits from the Band 11’s 1,500 nits
- Case material is aluminium alloy only; the Band 11 also offers a cheaper durable polymer option
- Weight rises to approximately 18g from the Band 11’s 17g (aluminium) or 16g (polymer)
- Colour range narrows to Green, Blue and Black; the Band 11 additionally offers Beige, Purple and White
Software
- Running Form Analysis and pre-race performance prediction added, both dependent on the Pro’s onboard GNSS
- Cycling auto-pause and ride-sharing posters added, also GNSS-dependent features
- Battery life unchanged at up to 14 days maximum and 8 days typical use, despite the added GNSS chip
