Expert opinion
Ignite 3 carries the same Precision Prime Gen 3.5 sensor and dual-frequency GPS as Street X, in a smaller 43mm case weighing 35g with strap, the lightest watch in Polar’s current range. It has no barometer, compass, ECG or SpO2 sensor, so altitude and route data rely on GPS alone.
FitSpark adaptive daily workout guidance and SleepWise are the watch’s strongest software features, drawing on Nightly Recharge data to recommend one of four training types each day. Battery life is short relative to the rest of the range: 18 hours in performance training mode against Street X’s 43 hours, a consequence of the smaller 215mAh cell. Ignite 3 ships in three variants at the same core specification: the standard plastic case, a Titanium edition with a stainless steel and titanium bezel, and a Braided Yarn strap option.
