Competition CLOSED – HEVER Triathlon TWO free race places at HEVER September 2017

Castle Triathlon Series Hever
Castle Triathlon Series (not )

Closed!

Once again there are two places up for grabs at the HEVER Castle Triathlon festival, this time for the September 2017 event.

I’m saying it’s 2x free places for the Gauntlet up for grabs for ONE winner (ie £300++) . If you win and ask the event organiser very nicely they should let you do the September Olympic or the September Full BASTION instead (maybe: edit no Bastion in Sept).

One entry for each of the following:

Instead of a public forum entry you can either PM me at tritalk.co.uk (NB: I rarely check PMs) or email me in**@*********er.com

The competition closes midnight 31January 2017 and the winner will be announced soon after and there is no cash alternative.

I’m expecting a 100 or so entries, so there’s a good chance of winning IMO and the winner for the 2016 event was a tritalk contributor who won through the tritalk forum entry.

Don’t hesitate, you can still compete in a triathlon even if you originally come from a different sports background.

Absolutely no need to click through to the tritalk site but you can enter there INSTEAD if you really want to. I have no desire for your email for nefarious mailing purposes. Honest. I know how people object to that sort of thing – as do I. YET I must obviously be able to contact you if you win.

I don’t think there’s a catch. If there appears to be then let me know and I will clarify.

My favourite kit and nutrition

  • Injinji – Runners protect your toes. Avoid discomfort and minor injury. Run more. Run faster. I use them.
  • Garmin 90-degree charging adapter — The small adapter that keeps your charging cables tidy. Essential for race day. I use one.
  • Garmin charging puck — the fastest and most reliable way to top up your Garmin before a session. I use one.
  • Ravemen FR300 — Front light that mounts directly under your Garmin or Wahoo head unit. Keeps your bars clean and your beam pointed where it matters. I use one.
  • Body Glide – The blue anti-chafe stick that all swimmers and many runners use. I use it.
  • Maurten — The race nutrition trusted by elite athletes. Gels and drink mixes engineered to be easy on the stomach. I use them.
  • Garmin Varia RTL515 — A radar rear light that alerts you to vehicles approaching from behind. Pairs with your Edge or Garmin watch. I use this model.
  • Favero Assioma Pro RS2 — The power-meter pedals most serious cyclists choose. Accurate, easy to move between bikes. I use this model.
  • Garmin Forerunner 970 — A serious choice for a pro-grade triathlon watch. I use this.
  • Polar H10 — My daily driver for accurate, waking HRV readings.
  • Wahoo ELEMNT Roam 3 — The bike computer that has the feature Garmin lacks: usability. I use mine on most rides.
