[PODCAST] Deep Dive chat on Sports Tech w/e May 23rd, 2025

This weekly podcast covers stories from influencers and publications in the endurance world in a friendly discussion format. The goal is to help listeners become better athletes through insights into better nutrition, more effective supplements, improved training strategies, and a deeper understanding of physiology…things that might make you faster! Oh yes, quite a lot of sports tech too!

So it’s more than a simple recap of my content. Sometimes, it will cover the background research I do for my articles, and it might include science papers. Whatever came up last week that I found interesting.

The Deep Dive Podcast is on most podcast platforms, including Spotify (link below), Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, iHeart, YouTube Podcasts and others.. It’s an AI podcast, so don’t listen if that’s not your thing; it does get the occasional pronunciation wrong. It uses closed sources, meaning it can’t invent facts.

There are now several podcasts with the same name, so look for the running shoe logo or search your favourite podcast platform for ‘the5krunner’.

  • Apple TV 4K: Zwift on the big screen. I use two.
  • Google Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen): My video doorbell, running in both Google Home and Apple Home. I use it.
