First Edge 150 Image Leaked?

Via: @JurgenH

We have a leaked image of what might be Garmin’s next Edge bike computer, shown above and zoomed in below. At first glance, it looks like  Edge 130 Plus sans left side button

I hope this is the 550/850, but the size makes me think it could be Edge 150, a road version of the recently released Edge MTB.

  1. Would we see a solar variant? 1050 omits that, delegating to the 1040. Would be awesome if they did for Edge what they currently do for Fenix: use the (pointless, imho) solar panel as an excuse to offer an oldschool MIP panel alongside more colorful battery guzzlers. “The variant that keeps the ugly screen for extended running” would be a tough sell, calling that thing “solar” is an excellent example of positivity.

  2. Looks quite similar to a 130(+) to me.

But I love to see a 150 with USB-C and Unified Training Status. The size of the 130 was just perfect for me.

A update to Extended Display with support for navigation and more complex data (Like HR graphs) would be the cherry on top, but if that was planned then we’d probably seen it leaked here on the site 😀

  3. That screen looks tiny…wonder why you would buy one, instead of using your watch with an adapter?

    1. it looks better than a watch with an adapter in many ways.
i’ve seen them used with TT bieks and in race scenarios where i guess the owner just wants to see power. might be handy in scenarios where a smaller size reduces risk of damage (off road???)

now that I’m older with my dodgy eyesight (still not too bad) i think i just evy peopel able to read such small screens from ‘so far’ away 🙂

  4. Looking at the watch range, there is alot untapped overlapping potential with bike computers that Garmin has not realized yet!!!!

The market demands an Edge 050, 150, 250, 450, 650, 850, 1050 and a super expensive premium Edge version about that.

An Edge MARQ with spaceship alloy body, gold leaf covered buttons, important training features like a bell and a flashlight and a lifetime subscirption for Connect+ and a footballer as adverstising medium!

      1. I suspect that the boring answer is simply this: there simply aren’t that many Edge buyers. Chances are many of the more niche Garmin watches still outsell every single edge model.

  5. This is the 130 or 130 plus, you can see the power button on the top left side, just the angle hides it (and the red mark in that button) a bit.
I doubt there will be a small device like the 130 in the future, in our stupid world everything has to get bigger, even if it makes no sense. The Edge MTB seems to me to be the new compact Edge (with a relatively small screen and lots of bezels to offer decent battery life). I wouldn’t be surprised if the 550/850 take another size step towards the new Roam 3.
