This is a weekly roundup of new regulatory filings from the sports watch and sensor brands this site covers. A filing shows that a product exists and is close to sale. Each entry gives the regulator, the model number, what the record reveals and how firm the evidence is.
Other sites push out an alert for every filing the moment it appears. This roundup gathers the week into a single read and keeps your inbox clear. The weekly Deep Dive Digest email covers the wider sports technology news for those who want it.

A quieter week, after Garmin launched the Edge 1060, Edge Explore 3 and Tacx Nēra on 20 October. The most notable new filing is a Garmin fitness product registered in Indonesia in three variants under model number 5206. Four further Garmin model numbers, none of them named, were approved by the UAE regulator on the same day as the cycling launch.
Garmin
Model 5206 (A05206, AA5206 and AB5206)
Indonesia’s Komdigi issued three certificates to PT Garmin Indonesia Distribution on 27 October 2026: 128142/DJID/2026 for model A05206, 128144/DJID/2026 for AB5206 and 128145/DJID/2026 for AA5206. All three are classed as a “Fitness Product” and list Garmin’s Chonburi plant in Thailand as the manufacturer. The records as reported give no product name, radio detail, battery or dimensions.
Three variants of one model number usually mean either several case sizes or regional radio versions of the same device. Garmin used the same Indonesian “Fitness Product” label in June for models A05202 and A05257, which other sites linked to a new vívosmart and the rumoured Cirqa band; model 5206 sits close to those numbers, but that is an inference from the numbering alone and the filing does not name a product. Indonesia is often an early stop rather than a late one, so a launch is more likely to be weeks or months away than days. Anyone choosing a Garmin activity tracker or entry-level watch now has no firm reason to wait on the strength of this filing alone.

Models A04937, A05177, A05178 and A05244
The UAE’s TDRA approved four Garmin models on 20 October 2026 under consecutive registrations: ER66646/26 for A04937, ER66647/26 for A05177, ER66648/26 for A05178 and ER66649/26 for A05244. Each lists Garmin Corporation as the manufacturer and AMIT Retail L.L.C. as the applicant, with approval valid to 19 October 2029. The listings as reported carry no product name or device category.
The TDRA register does not separate wearables from Garmin’s marine, automotive and outdoor products, so these four cannot yet be placed in a category. A05244 is numbered next to A05240 and A05242, which reached the same regulator earlier this month; the FCC record for model 05242, covered in issue 2, showed LTE-M cellular and satellite messaging radios. That proximity suggests, but does not show, that A05244 belongs to the same family. Readers should treat all four as unidentified until an FCC or Bluetooth SIG record gives more detail.
