Expert opinion

Grit X2 shares the Grit X2 Pro’s processor, memory, GPS chipset, biosensing platform and full training and navigation feature set in a smaller, lighter case. The differences are entirely physical: a 45mm case against the Pro’s 48.6mm, a 1.28-inch display against 1.39 inches, water resistance to WR50 against WR100, and a 310mAh battery against 488mAh.

Offline topographic maps are pre-installed for Europe and North America, with contour and POI layers, but the maps carry no routing intelligence. Grit X2 recognises turns along a loaded route but cannot suggest an alternative if the wearer strays off it, only a straight-line bearing back or a full retrace. Elixir Gen 4 biosensing (ECG, SpO2, skin temperature) is standard, and the battery is factory-replaceable.
