Expert opinion

Grit X2 Pro runs identical software to the Vantage V3, in a ruggedised stainless steel or titanium case with sapphire glass and MIL-STD accreditation. The Titan edition weighs 64g against the standard model’s 79g, and both share the same 488mAh battery, 275MHz processor and Elixir Gen 4 sensor suite.

Offline TOPO maps are pre-installed for Europe and North America, with additional detailed maps available manually via flow.polar.com/maps. Route guidance works with imported GPX files or routes synced from Komoot or Strava, with turn-by-turn cues added automatically when a route is loaded through Polar Flow. Polar has not built on-device map intelligence: if the wearer strays off route, Grit X2 Pro can only point back to it as a straight-line bearing or offer a full retrace, unlike Garmin’s re-routable maps at a comparable price.
