Where does this Coros market share data come from?

The figures come from Runalyze, a training-analysis platform used by endurance athletes, and were first reported by the French site Montre Cardio GPS.

Is Coros close to overtaking Garmin?

No. Garmin holds around 77.9% of the devices Runalyze tracks, against Coros’s 5.8%. Coros has overtaken Suunto and Polar individually, not the market leader.

Why does the Pace-heavy device mix matter for Coros financially?

A watch priced to undercut Garmin and Apple carries a lower margin than a flagship. If most sales sit at the bottom of the range, average selling price and margin fall too.
