Garmin Instinct 3 / E / Solar – Availability Now (pre-order for delivery in next few days)
Garmin Instinct 3 AMOLED and Instinct E are now available to buy/pre-order on REI and Amazon, obviously also on Garmin.com. I have only found Garmin Instinct 3 Solar at REI.
Garmin.com officially lists the items available to buy on Friday, 10 January.
I expect REI/Garmin/amazon to have a device with you by Monday 13th. There will be more limited stock outside of the USA.
- Order: Garmin Instinct 3 SOLAR (45mm, 50mm)
- Order: Garmin Instinct 3 AMOLED (45mm, 50mm)
- Order: Garmin Instinct E (40mm, 45mm)
What is everyone clicking on?
As of 10 January 2025, I see a bias toward interest in AMOLED compared to SOLAR models, with AMOLED taking the lead in the per-user outbound clicks from this site. Approx 52% AMOLED, 35% Solar and 13% Instinct E.
The relative lack of interest in the E range reflects a similar situation with Fenix E, which could be because no one wants these cut-down models or, more likely because the people buying at launch are tech-savvy early adopters and less likely to want inferior tech… i.e. Instinct E.
How do you see clicks percentages?

We have a Fenix E and a Instinct E now. Perhaps the E stands for E(musculated), because a lot of things compared to the other models from the series are missing?
Good afternoon, can you tell me anything about information about 275?
should come along with 975
i will update here https://the5krunner.com/2024/09/11/new-garmin-gps-watch-sports-2025/
They probably click on AMOLED, see that it lasts only 7 days in AoD mode and buy Solar instead – after all it’s an Instinct 🙂
Or people wanted a epix all along but couldn’t afford one and to defend themselves they said their instinct has a superior battery life (which they hardly needed nor used)
Now they can finally buy a watch with a shiny screen within their budget.
(All fine with me)
The problem with the E models (Fenix E, Instinct E) is that nobody is interested in buying a newer and more expensive watch that has the same feature set as the now-much-cheaper previous model.
Fenix E is just a standard Epix Gen 2 (non-Pro), nobody is going to pay $800 for that when they can get basically the same thing for $450.
Likewise, nobody is going to pay $300 for an Instinct E when you can get the pretty much the same thing (Instinct 2S) for $200.
agreed
but at some point fairly soon there will be no stock left of the older models. Garmin realise this
