Polar Introduces TrainingPeaks Integration for Structured Workouts

Polar has expanded its training ecosystem by integrating TrainingPeaks with Polar Flow, allowing structured workouts and training plans to sync automatically to compatible Polar sports watches. This update provides athletes with real-time guidance during sessions, ensuring they stay within their target heart rate zones, hit power targets, or maintain specific paces. Once a workout is completed, session data is optionally sent back to TrainingPeaks for in-depth analysis, should you prefer that to Polar FLOW.
The integration is in beta, with Polar actively collecting user feedback to refine the experience across various training disciplines. While the functionality is already in place, adjustments may be made based on insights from real-world usage to ensure optimal compatibility across supported devices.
The supported activity types include running, cycling, mountain biking, swimming, strength training, rowing, and walking. The feature is compatible with all Polar Flow-enabled devices that support training targets, except the Axxx models. To further enhance the training experience, new Polar watch buyers will receive a complimentary 30-day trial of TrainingPeaks Premium, providing access to advanced analytics, performance tracking, and personalized insights.

TrainingPeaks is widely regarded as a valuable tool among endurance athletes and coaches, offering structured training plans and data-driven performance metrics. By integrating this platform, Polar aims to provide a more connected and efficient training experience, catering to athletes who rely on precise workouts and training.
