Stryd Assistant: Eight New Features Added to Adaptive Training

Stryd launched Stryd Assistant on 2 June 2026, a set of eight features built into the Stryd app that sit inside its Adaptive Training plan system, which itself launched recently in November 2025. Stryd Recap

The headline feature is Stryd Recap, a plain-language summary generated automatically after every structured workout. It appears in the post-run view without any setup and covers compliance, pacing, and power execution against the planned session. A longer deep-dive analysis is available on request; Stryd warns it takes several minutes to process server-side. Recap does not run for free or unstructured activities.

Race Management lets subscribers add, edit, or remove goal races directly from within the plan. When a primary A-Event changes, the system rebuilds the entire training cycle around the new date, including taper timing. Secondary B-Event changes update the relevant workouts and display a preview before any changes are applied. A February 2026 update had already introduced basic race date support; this release expands that to full in-app race editing with plan-wide consequences.

RSB Accuracy

Running Stress Balance is Stryd's primary training load metric, showing whether a runner is carrying fatigue, in a recovery window, or ready to push. RSB Accuracy adds a confidence layer. The system monitors the data feeding RSB and flags when the number is unreliable, for example, after training gaps, due to missing data, or due to inconsistent recent history. This is a meaningful addition: RSB is only useful if the runner knows whether to trust it on any given day.

Critical Power Calibration

Critical Power is the foundation metric for all of Stryd's training zones and workout targets. The new calibration feature monitors for signs that CP has drifted from actual fitness and prompts a calibration workout when the targets are likely out of sync. The prompt is a recommendation, rather than an automatic adjustment.

Phase Transition Previews

Adaptive Training moves through structured phases: base, build, peak, taper. Phase Transition Previews give two to three days' notice before each new phase begins, including a suggested weekly schedule the runner can adjust before the phase starts.

Plan Adjustments

Plan Adjustments allow individual workouts to be moved to a different day or deleted entirely. The plan reshapes around the change rather than leaving a gap or requiring a manual restart.

Pause and Resume

Pause and Resume covers extended breaks from training. The system shows a summary of the changes before a pause is applied. On return, it suggests a structured comeback schedule rather than asking the runner to decide whether to restart, skip ahead, or scale back.
