Watch faces for Fenix 9, Fenix 8, Fenix 7, Instinct 3, Forerunner 970, Venu 4 and vivoactive 6
The tables above apply to these watches too, because almost every popular face supports them. Of the store’s 120 most popular faces at the end of October 2026, 116 run on Fenix 8, 113 on Fenix 9, 111 on Venu 4, 111 on vivoactive 6, 110 on Instinct 3, 106 on Forerunner 970 and 99 on Fenix 7. Each face’s details row shows how many watches it supports, and its store listing names them.
Garmin’s built-in faces are covered separately for Fenix 8, Instinct 3 and Forerunner 970.
Garmin watch faces reviewed and explained
- CAMIX 9, a camouflage face built from owners’ requests, with any of 65 metrics in either data slot.
- GMT, which keeps a second time zone right when the clocks change.
- Ready to Run, which shows when heat makes a run risky.
- Crystal Reborn, the return of a long-running favourite.
- GLANCE, Garmin’s watch face of the year in 2022.
- AMOLED watch faces worth using, and why Garmin stopped copies of its own faces.
- Garmin’s built-in faces for Fenix 8, Instinct 3, Forerunner 970 and Epix 2 Pro.
How to change your Garmin watch face
On most Garmin watches, hold the menu button (or the touchscreen on touch models) while the watch face is showing, select Watch Face, scroll to the face you want and select Apply. Faces you install from the Connect IQ Store join the same list.
To install a new face, open its store link from the tables above, which takes you to the Connect IQ Store app on your phone, and choose Install. You can also switch faces from the phone in Garmin Connect under your device’s Appearance settings. Most faces change their data fields and colours in the Connect IQ Store app, and some also have settings on the watch itself.
A face that pulls weather or other live data uses your phone’s connection, so it updates only while the watch is paired. Busy faces with seconds and live graphs cost more battery than simple ones, which matters most on Fenix 8 and other AMOLED watches with the display always on.
Quick answers

At the end of October 2026, the most popular watch face on the Connect IQ Store was Goals by VAW.BE, a one-off purchase of $1.99. The table above updates on the first of every month.

Do Garmin watch faces cost money?
Many are free and many cost a few dollars as a one-off purchase. Paid faces often have a free trial or a free version, so you can check how they look on your watch first.
Why is a watch face missing for my watch?
Each developer chooses which watches to support, and new models need adding, so a face may not yet list your watch. Each face’s details row shows how many watches it supports.
