Expert opinion
My original Assioma pedals, bought in 2017, were still working years later, and Favero’s products have been accurate and trouble free in my use. The DUO measures power from both legs and the UNO from the left leg only, with the same pods, the same battery and the same accuracy claim of ±1%. Compared with a Wahoo KICKR the pedals sat within about three watts on average. Many reviewers use them as a test comparator.
This is the older pod-based range, now superseded by the Assioma PRO pedals. The pod is a visible limitation. At 33.5 mm it is smaller than the earlier bePRO pod, but it can still catch flatter shoes and sometimes needs a spacer. Battery life is 50 hours, charged through a proprietary magnetic clip. Oval chainrings can make power read high by two to four percent. I have seen a Garmin fail to pick up the pedals again after losing the signal until it was rebooted. Favero does not recommend them for technical mountain biking. With a single-sided watch or bike computer the UNO makes more sense than the DUO, because the device can only use one side.
