Expert opinion

Smart Band 10 Pro suits runners who want a route and pace without wearing a watch. It has its own GPS, so the phone stays at home, and a track mode that corrects to a 400m lap so interval sessions do not drift on the bends. On-wrist running courses, smart pacing and guided warm-ups add structure for newer runners. For cycling it broadcasts heart rate over Bluetooth to a bike computer, or turns the phone into a ride display. Underwater heart rate covers pool swims. Sleep is its strongest area, with overnight HRV for a daily recovery read and a sleep algorithm Xiaomi says stages sleep 14% better than the 9 Pro. There is no ANT+, no barometer and no training load or VO2 max, so it will not replace a Garmin Forerunner 165 for structured training. Battery is a claimed 15 days in normal use, long for a GPS band, though Xiaomi gives no figure for a long GPS run.

Battery life

Xiaomi claims up to 21 days in light use, 15 days in normal use, and 8 days with the always-on display. All three figures assume only 60 minutes of GPS-recorded exercise a week. The normal-use figure also includes all-day heart rate, high-precision sleep tracking, and all-day stress and blood oxygen monitoring. Xiaomi does not publish a continuous GPS figure, so a runner logging four or five hours of outdoor sessions a week should expect noticeably less than 15 days. Light use assumes heart rate every 30 minutes with sleep, stress and blood oxygen tracking switched off.
