There weren’t too many leaks of the just-announced Suunto Ultra Collection. As I write this post, info is still a bit thin on the ground.
You should find, round about NOW, that Movescount is updated with new features in the WORLD section.
There was an update last week on their Android app, so either they will turn ‘on’ some of the features contained in that or there will be another release today(ish). The best place to look will likely be direct on MOVESCOUNT.COM. (More info on the MOVESCOUNT update here).
Production looks to be ramping up for the first week in JULY when there will be further announcements – hopefully some detail.
For those of you attending the ITU Leeds Tri on 11/12 JUNE then Suunto should have a non-functioning Spartan for you to drool over.
You’ve probably seen other images of the Ultra ‘in use’ by sponsored athletes and/or employees. I’m not clear if these are mock-up devices or pre-production devices. I do not think they will be the full/real/production device that you will soon be able to buy.
Press devices may be available in mid to late July.
Release ‘Proper’ is the start of August, I was told 1st august, and this is when manuals and the like are scheduled to be uploaded to the main site.
I’ve got a copy of the quick start guide which I will attach in another post. It doesn’t shed too much light however.
