Hever Castle – Half Iron distance – New Strategy

Castle Triathlon Series
Castle Triathlon Series (not )

Apparently I’m doing the half-iron in a couple of weeks at Hever, Kent.

Use of “Apparently” shows how well I have prepared.

Strategy last time was to splash around a lot and then not let ANYBODY pass me on the 2x bike laps. And that included people on the OLY who sort of join half way round.

That strategy mostly worked. Mostly. A few pesky olyers did seem to have better legs than me by my Lap 2.

The final part of the strategy was to run at a marathon PB pace. That didn’t work at all 🙁

Note to self: go slower on bike bit. Use the force; well use the power…meter.
