Fitbit Ionic adidas

Fitbit Ionic: adidas edition – available March 19, 2018

Fitbit announce a new app for the Ionic smartwatch.

adidas have developed the  “adidas Train” app. This works on the Fitbit Ionic platform and Fitbit have been kind enough to partially re-brand the Ionic just for Mssrs adidas and co.

Yep. The Fitbit Ionic is JUST THE SAME as before. But with a new app. Apple did a similar thing with the Apple Watch Nike edition, so all is cool but it’s no big deal.

The app includes 6 (yes six!) workouts to improve your form, power and speed. The workouts total 50 minutes in length.

Actually there is a little bit more. You also get an adidas-designed watch face as well as an ink-blue strap and grey aluminium body.

For the UNCHANGED tech specs here is the review from last year. The Ionic didn’t receive a great welcome from many other sites but I quite liked it for what it was. Warts and all.

I have confirmed with my wife that her Ionic is effectively Wart-free.

    Also,

Yep, you are right though, there’s nothing “Big” on the horizon for Fitbit. Shame though, but let it be a lesson for the market; You can’t sit on your laurels for too long, eventually you’ll end up passed-by and irrelevant.
