iGPSPORT BSC300T Bike Computer

iGPSPORT BSC300T review specifications opinioniGPSPORT BSC300T Cycling Computer

The iGPSPORT BSC300T is the latest upgrade in iGPSPORT’s entry-level cycling computer range, building on the BSC300 by introducing a touch screen and other enhanced features. The BSC300T retains its predecessor’s philosophy of offering high-value performance at an affordable price, making it an attractive option for cyclists on a budget.

Weighing approximately 65g, the BSC300T is ideal for those seeking a cycling computer that won’t add unnecessary bulk to their setup. Its 2.4-inch display is slightly larger than the Wahoo Element Bolt’s 2.2 inches but smaller than the Garmin Edge 540/840 models. While that screen size might feel limited to some, it has good readability but lacks an ambient light sensor to rapidly adapt to changing light conditions.

The touch screen is one of the key upgrades on the BSC300T. Compared to button models, the touch functionality allows for more intuitive navigation of the menus and settings.

In terms of features, the BSC300T boasts a fast startup time, a shared trait across iGPSPORT’s range. The cycling computer also supports a variety of sensors, including speed, cadence, heart rate, and power meters via Bluetooth and ANT+. Additionally, it can be paired with smart trainers for indoor training, offering features like FTP auto-detection and customizable training programs based on specific goals like sprinting or climbing.

For navigation, the BSC300T uses OSM-based maps, providing basic routing without some of the advanced features found on premium models. It does not support re-routing if you deviate from your planned course, nor does it continuously display information like the distance to your next waypoint. This makes it less suitable for riders who depend on detailed, real-time navigation updates, but the navigation interface remains readable and functional for simpler routes.

Satellite positioning is supported by multiple GNSS systems, offering fast and reliable tracking, though it lacks the dual-band capability found in iGPSPORT’s top-of-the-line models like the iGS800. I

Battery life on the BSC300T is impressive, up to a claimed 20 hours, although that will decrease during continuous navigation.

Price: $149.99

Take Out

A solid upgrade to the range by iGPSPORT.

Even though it won’t break the bank, it’s not worth an update from the BSC300T.
