Zepp 10: HybridCharge, Training Focus, and HYROX tools land for Amazfit
Amazfit has updated the Zepp app, the confusingly named app for all the company’s watches. The update replaces the existing BioCharge and Readiness scores with a new metric called HybridCharge, and adds Training Focus, a HYROX Training Library, and HYROX Race Analysis. Some significant updates.
HybridCharge is a 0-100 daily energy score that differs from its predecessor by incorporating subjective self-reported feelings and events alongside the more concrete biometric readings from the watch. The subjective measurements are logged daily across eight categories, including sleep quality, physical state, mood, cognitive load, nutrition, and environment, via a new system called LifeLoad. Each is scored individually as low, medium, or high on a perceived impact scale. Those subjective inputs combine with measured (inferred) sensor data on sleep quality, HRV, resting heart rate, and activity to produce three values throughout the day:
- a Wake score calculated each morning,
- an All-Day score tracking intraday changes, and
- an Evening score reflecting remaining reserve capacity.
A full explanation of how the score is calculated, and how it compares to Garmin Body Battery and Whoop Recovery, is available here (to follow).
Training Focus is also new. Based on the balance of recorded activity types over the preceding seven days, it recommends whether the next session should lean toward strength or endurance to restore your overall training balance to what it considers an optimal level.

The HYROX additions may be the most strategically significant element of the update. Amazfit is the only wearable brand to hold an official HYROX partnership, a position formalised through a three-year global agreement between Zepp Health and HYROX. No other wearable manufacturer currently offers the same officially licensed integration. The HYROX Training Library provides structured workouts balanced against your fitness level and race goals. HYROX Race Analysis allows you to review completed race performance, identify strengths and weaknesses, and plan for future events. Further HYROX-specific features are expected to follow as the partnership develops.
Zepp 10.4 is rolling out now on iOS and Android. Depending on the device model and firmware, the watch face may continue to display the score as BioCharge; the Zepp app always shows the current HybridCharge figure after sync. Updates to the watch face are expected this month or next to align the messaging across the ecosystem.
Note: this feature might be a bit buggy, and it might be worth holding off on updating for a week or so. As you can see from the screenshot above, there is no exertion recorded for me. I’m pretty sure I’m exhausted right now!

Thanks for the hint. Updated my Zepp app and the naming in the app has changed to HybridCharge (while it is still called BioCharge on my Cheetah 2 Ultra- I assume this will be changed with an upcoming software update).
i assume so too!
