Garmin Vector Pedal Power System

The new Vector ‘S’ is one working pedal from the normal Garmin Vector twin pedals. There are of course 2 pedals with the Vector ‘S’ but only one of them transmits power.

A fuller review of the essentially identical Garmin Vectors is here. This details compatibility/setup and other issues.

Compatibility will be MORE than just the Edge 1000. I would expect several models including the hopefully impending Forerunner 920XT triathlon watch.

These are half the price of the normal Vectors. so making them MUCH more affordable and starting to get in line with the pricing of some of the (proposed) new entrants into the power market.

Most of us have a power imbalance and so only having one pedal sending the power is potentially an issue.

It might lead to an error of however imbalanced your technique is!

DCRAINMAKER’s site will also tell you about the expected late-2014 new cycling dynamics functionality. However note that if you want this you will need the full Vector 2-pedal setup and not the Vector ‘S’.
